Diamondnia Mack
Research and Data Consultant
Diamondnia Mack is a Master of Public Policy candidate at the University of Chicago, specializing in energy and environment and international development. Her work sits at the intersection of climate policy, economic inequality, and gender equity, with a particular focus on how environmental and economic systems shape outcomes for women and marginalized communities globally.
A Washington, DC native, she currently serves as an Economic Affairs Intern with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, where she contributes to the 2026 World Social Report through macroeconomic analysis and quantitative research on inequality and sustainable development. Alongside this, she is a Senior Research and Data Consultant with the Black Child Development Institute DC, producing data-driven reports on the well-being of Black children in Washington, DC and translating research into actionable insights for policymakers and communities.
Diamondnia is the Founder and Executive Director of The Brown Moon Project, a research-driven nonprofit advancing global climate policy analysis for Black, Brown, and Indigenous women, with a particular focus on the Global South. In this role, she led a research team conducting empirical analysis on climate policy and economic outcomes, and serves as the host of Rooted: Women, Earth, and Eco-Justice, a podcast that bridges technical research and public dialogue through conversations with experts across climate, economics, and governance.
Her professional experience spans the nonprofit, education, and policy sectors, including several years at KIPP DC and The Sadie Collective, where she led large-scale programming, partnerships, and data-driven initiatives to expand access to education and economic opportunity.
Her previous experience also includes research roles at Johns Hopkins University and the Congressional Budget Office, where she applied econometric and geospatial methods to study labor markets, income inequality, and environmental exposure.
Across her work, Diamondnia is driven by a commitment to equity-centered policy design, rigorous data analysis, and community-informed solutions that address the structural dimensions of climate and economic injustice. When she is not working, she is an avid solo traveler and dedicated yogi.
